Maria Littlefield
Maria has been a yoga practitioner for many years and in 2009 trained in the Radiant Child Yoga program with Shakta Kaur Khalsa. Since then she has taught yoga classes for tots to teens. Children really seem to respond to her, as she communicates with them in a fun, friendly and trusting way. Her classes are filled with magical yoga journeys, games, stories, art projects, music, lots of fun, and often include an educational component to compliment the theme of the class. With a degree in Horticulture from the University of Maryland she also likes to incorporate her love of plants and nature into her class plans. It is Maria’s belief that a child who learns yoga, mindfulness and relaxation will not only be more learning ready but also will be developing essential skills they can use for a lifetime of health and wellness in body, mind and spirit.

Lara Hennessey
Lara started practicing yoga as a way to gain the flexibility she had as a young gymnast. When she got deeper into her yoga practice, she noticed the stomach pain that had plagued her for years had lessened. Now a firm believer in the healing power of yoga, Lara got her 200 hour certification through Yoga Center Amherst and works to deepen her practice everyday. She hopes to bring the same healing and joy to her students’ lives through yoga that she is experiencing in her own life.
